The firm was founded in Gainesville, Florida in 2002 and expanded to Sarasota, Florida in 2004 to better serve the Florida website design market.

Weblix was started by University of Florida graduates Markus Urban and Duane Anderson. With their combined business knowledge and online development experience, they formed Weblix to create comprehensive online solutions for growing businesses.
